Wear and tear is normal and eventually unavoidable. Samuel Diamond is not responsible for wear and tear of a garment. Please read the garment care advice and take advice and cautions from your tailor to prolong the life of your garment.
Some specific wear and tear is a result of idiosyncratic behaviours, habits and also certain body shapes. (So, it is often unfortunate and unavoidable for the unlucky some. Consult your tailor for the most appropriate cloth if you know you wear in certain areas, and go for a natural fit with your tailor where possible, to take duress off the cloth.)
Trouser wear in the fork is reasonably common for some men who rub in this area. More delicate and luxurious cloths will fail quickly in these conditions and attempting to solve the problem with an added silk saddle will only delay the expected. It’s not a comprehensive solution. It’s unavoidable in many cases and wool-suiting cloths may never hold up in the very worst of cases. Take care with abrasive seats in office environments. Textured seats kill suits and there isn't much that can be done about this damage.
The delivery of the garments is usually 4-6 weeks. This timeframe can be more or less depending on urgency and unexpected delays.
ADJUSTMENTS
Alterations are included for physical appointments only. Any alterations or alterations are strictly not included for online orders and are a cost the customer must bear themselves. After your first appointment with Samuel Diamond, a second fitting will be organised once the garment is made. During this second fitting the tailor will determine, with you, whether any adjustments need to be made. All adjustments that need to be made are conducted in-house at no cost to the client. In the odd case that a garment cannot be adjusted reasonably, Samuel Diamond will organise for the client to be re-fitted and the garment will be remade. There is no cost to the client undergoing this process.
ONLINE SHIPPING & RETURNS
Custom items are usually shipped in 2-3 weeks. Some items can take up to 6 weeks. Shipped by FEDEX/DHL and delivered in 2-3 business days. Fedex and DHL remain our preferred shipping partners. If you feel unsatisfied about your purchase, please contact us and we will set it right for you as per the policy below.
Garments Made Incorrectly: The garments are thoroughly tested against your order details and shipped only if all parameters are correct. In the rare case you are not satisfied with the item, we will alter/remake the item for you, free of cost. Just ship the item back to us. You will be liable for any duties that are required to be paid during the shipment of the returned garment to us.
Garments Made Correctly: In case you are not happy with the garment even though the style and measurements were as per your specifications, there are no returns. If you would like to request alterations to the garment, you can send the it back and we will examine this at our complete discretion. You are required to pay for the cost of alterations and shipping. You will be liable for any duties that are required to be paid during the shipment of the returned garments to us.
OFFLINE RETURNS POLICY
Samuel Diamond is committed to our customer's satisfaction with respect to the garment's quality and fit. Because garments are tailored to a customer's specific fit returns will not be accepted. Unless Samuel Diamond replaces a garment once the original is deemed, at the absolution discretion of Samuel Diamond management, not fit for purpose.
